new job.

I am always doing short picture posts, but I wanted to do just an update of where we are all at.
First: Tyler started a new job about 3 weeks ago. He now works for The Insulation Specialists. This company is taking the government grants that are going out to homeowners with poorly insulated homes, and re-insulating them to save on energy bills and help keep them warmer. Well, at least thats how it was explained to me, lol. Tyler was riding his bike to work one day this summer when he heard some one yelling his name... "Elder Haas??" and a car pulled over in front of him. Well turns out it was Mike from his mission! So Mike told him about this business he is starting with his buddies, and asked Tyler if he needed a job. Well, at that time Tyler was getting along fine at Teleperformance. so we didn't really think too much into it all. Then in November Mike called Ty up and asked him again, said he would really like him to come work for him. So Tyler went to a meeting while I was up in Washington, and they basically hired him right there, haha. Ty was just going to try it out for a few weeks before he up and quit his other job. but that lasted about a week, and he quit Teleperformance (Sprint Wireless). If you didn't ever know what crazy hours he worked there, I will tell ya. His schedule was school from 8am to 11am, Work from 1:30pm to 11pm 5 days a week! It was horrible, and not to mention super lonely! and he had to work Saturdays and Sundays. So he wasn't able to go to church. Now, he works everyday between 2:30pm and 6pm, depending on how long it takes him to get all of his appointments. Sweet huh?! So what does he do? Well, he goes door to door making appointments for his salesman to come to the homeowners house and do a FREE inspection of their insulation. He doesn't even have to sell anything! So it is pretty easy for him to get people to agree to do something for FREE! On a good day he gets 15, on an average day he gets 10. So he gets paid $14 for every appointment that gets measured (or kept). Its not a bad deal at all. He is making more than at his other job, and only working 2-3 hours a day, AND he gets Sundays OFF! Plus, all the guys that he works with are all returned LDS missionaries. (He had some issues with people not being so nice to him at his last place of work, because he was LDS) So over all a Huge blessing. Lucy loves having her daddy home at night and in the morning. And I love having my husband back!

Lucy: we started the Enbrel two weeks ago. I have seen a little bit of a difference. But it has only been two weeks, time will tell. She still does pretty good with getting shots. no crying. she loves to help clean the spot with alcohol, and clean it after, even if it doesn't bleed. What a brave girl. I am so proud of her. She is learning so much now. Lots of new words, and actions. She is getting so smart! I haven't seen much of her Physical Therapist, but Her Occupational Therapist comes twice a month. We LOVE Tonya! She is so great with Lucy. We are currently working on grasping a writing utensil the right way, and taking off and putting on shoes and socks. These are beginner skills for 2 yr olds. So its okay if it takes her a while. She is just taking everything in. As for Salt Lake, I haven't made her next Appointment, but it will be sometime in Jan. They said they would be able to take her off the pain meds then (currently she is taking Naprosin for her pain, Methotrexate and Enbrel for her RA) she will stay on the last two for as long as she needs.

Me: well not much is going on. Trying new recipes, thanks to Lauren. I really want to cook more. Especially where Ty is going to be home in the evenings. I lost 3 pounds this week, Unintentionally, but I will take it anywhere I can get it right? Haha...

We will be traveling to Bellingham on the 22nd for Christmas. This is the first Christmas we are spending with my family as a married couple! The first year (2007) was suppose to be with my family, but since Lucy wasn't allowed on a plane or out in the cold, we had to stay home. So I am WAY excited for Tyler to experience the Jones Christmas!! This is my favorite time of year, so I can't wait. We will be traveling back to Idaho on the 1st, at least that is the plan.

Wow... this was pretty long. But I dont sit here and type all the time, so you can forgive me. Love you all and hope you are enjoying the season!!
